Lincoln Contractors Supply, Inc. was founded in 1956 by Al Knief and Bill Guenther in West Allis, just outside Milwaukee, WI. Our first construction supply store opened a few blocks down Lincoln Ave.
Today, our corporate headquarters remains on W Hayes Ave, keeping us connected to our local roots in Wisconsin.
In the early 1980s, Norm Knief and Dale Guenther—sons of the founders—took over the company.
Since then, LCS has grown into a statewide leader in construction equipment sales and rentals. We proudly serve contractors and builders across Wisconsin.
In 2001, LCS formed a strategic partnership with FABICK Rents.
This alliance led to our largest growth in equipment rentals, tool sales, and jobsite support services.
We expanded to 11 locations across Wisconsin, from Racine to Eau Claire.
Today, LCS is led by third-generation President Aaron Knief, who took over in 2015.
Under Aaron’s leadership, we continue to innovate in construction equipment solutions, rental services, and customer support.
We remain committed to delivering the best in contractor tools, jobsite equipment, and service excellence throughout Wisconsin.
